Opening with ‘In The Morning’ and ‘Stumble and Fall’, Borrell and Co left interaction to a minimum,
before going into new track ‘Wonderful Life’.
Surprisingly, Razorlight performed ‘Golden Touch’ and a cover of Edwyn Collins’
‘A Girl Like You’ very early on before returning to newer material taken from forthcoming releases.
Different
to previous festival performances, Johnny Borrell appeared humble on stage, until returning for the encore
and performing ‘America’.
Ego well and truly in tow, he stood and stared at the crowd until they were
all bored or tired from cheering, and begun the sing-a-long favourite. Wouldn’t have a Borrell performance any other
way …
Sunday’s main stage line-up at Guilfest
2011 includes Chipmunk and James Blunt.
