From old to new the American rockers went from ‘New York City Cops’ to ‘Matchu Pitcchu’
within three songs.
The crowd however really felt the energy of the band when ‘Last Night’
was belted out in true Strokes fashion.
Lead singer Julian Casablancas kept the bands reputation in tact by looking fashionably cool in
sunglasses and a leather jacket.
"There are muchos fucking people here" he said to the Spanish
crowd before launching into the much loved ‘This Is It’ album classic ‘Hard To Explain’.
Albert Hammond remained clam like the rest of the band throughout the set even during
those catchy pop guitar solos.
The nonchalant band famed for their cool finished abruptly on ‘Room
Is On Fire’ single ‘The Way It Is’.
"They were awesome!" said Strokes
fan Matt Hampshire, 16, confirming the bands status is still capturing the hearts of the young.
