As a heavy storm lashed down, the American pop-punkers got on with business, running up and down the D barrier to everyone's
delight, having only a poncho cape and fan's borrowed hat to help matters.
"This song's kinda ironic right
now but whatever!" laughed Cuomo as they treated us to the summer-kissed classic 'Island In The
Sun'.
Wheatus' 'Teenage Dirtbag' and
Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android' were surprise highlights
but as always it was one of the best rock anthems of the 90s - their own 'Buddy Holly' - that finished proceedings
perfectly, as all six of the band members rounded things off by beating the drum kit to a climax.
They played:
The Sweater Song
Troublemaker
If You're Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)
Teenage Dirtbag
Say It Ain't So
Island In The Sun
Beverly Hills
Pork
And Beans
Perfect Situation
Hash Pipe
Paranoid Android
Buddy Holly
