Openers 'Movin' On Up' and 'Slip Inside This House' showed Bobby Gillespie and the band on fine form,
the frontman in a silver sequinned top and the band lit by a massive backdrop of the iconic album cover.
At a festival
where easily amused punters have been going just as crazy for Beyonce
miming and dancing, as a drunken tramp playing campsite guitar, the older crowd full of PRML SCRM MTHR FCKR shirts gave T
its first hardcore fanatic audience.
"Take the roof off the motherfucking tent," commanded Gillespie.
The soundtrack to a 1991 drug trip, throwing house, indie and garage into a psychedelic mix, the album is widely regarded
as one of the most important rock and dance records of the decade - and tonight, the setlist sounded as fresh as ever.
David Swanson, 41 from Leith, said: "One of the best albums ever. Bobby and the boys were different gravy!"
