Since their breakthrough album, the Monkeys' have taken the world by storm thanks to tracks such as ‘Mardy Bum’,
‘I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ and ‘Cornerstone’ - and all three are
well received here at T.
It’s the surprisingly fourth ‘hit and miss’ album –
‘Suck It and See’ that goes down well - with newbies like ‘Don't Sit Down Cos I've Moved Your
Chair’ pleasing the heaving crowd.
First time T in the Parker, John Devine, 28, from Wishaw,
Lanarkshire, welcomed the band's new tracks, but reserved special mention for their older hits. He said: "Friday was the
night I was looking forward to the most and Arctic Monkeys were the band that I was really excited to see. They were excellent, and coupled with the
weather it was a great start to the festival. They seem to get better with age, and thanks to the earlier sunshine, I don't
think there is a greater band to see."
Stay tuned to Virtual
Festivals for the latest T In The Park 2011
news.
