Lake of Stars 2011 to host online auction

There are plenty of exclusive celebrity prizes up for grabs

Malawi's Lake of Stars 2011 is hosting an online auction of exclusive celebrity prizes to raise funds to support local artists' involvement in the event.

Acts from around the country have collaborated with the Festival to create an auction with a selection of experiences such as a personal DJ lesson from DJ Yoda, a chance to have Goldilocks DJ at your house party, a studio session with Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly and a private cinema for you and 60 of your friends.

Also under the hammer are tickets to Camp Bestival 2011 and Bestival 2011, tickets to Cream's 19th birthday, tickets for The Wombats and a chance to win all star accommodation at this year’s festival.

There's even a chance to bid for Noisettes front woman Shingai Shoniwa's famous silver boots!

The auction is being hosted on eBay, and will run for ten days from 11–20 July with a second round of the bidding to be held in August.

Lake of Stars 2011 takes place from 30 September to 2 October and is an international arts festival in Malawi showcasing a mix of traditional and new African music, art, poetry, fashion, markets, food and more.

Now in its eighth year, the event has over 70 live acts from Africa and Europe playing everything from indie to kwaito to reggae and dubstep.
