With sludge and sticky mud underfoot, many revellers were happy to set up and camp and enjoy a few beers before the festival
kicks off tomorrow (Thursday 23 June) with the first few acts.
Rumours for the Park Stage ‘Special Guests’
slots are rife with Arctic Monkeys, Pulp and Arcade Fire –
despite touring commitments on the Friday of the event – whispered between hopeful fans across the site.
A
number of rain showers are still expected over the weekend and those yet to turn up are advised to bring warm clothes and
wellies for five-days of mixed weather.
U2, Coldplay and Beyonce
are set to headline the 41st edition of the festival, which runs until Sunday (26 June) at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Paul, 29 from Glasgow, who arrived in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) said: “I try to get here
as early as I can every year but it hammered it down when I was putting up my tent. We’re going to the Stone Circle
before it kicks off properly.”
