The singer introduced the song as "an old-skool one you might know", while his hits ‘Night Air’ and
‘Lady Luck’ also went down well.
Earlier The
Milk introduced the student festival to ‘The Basildon Soul Clap’, getting the front dancing for ‘All
I Wanted Was Danger’ and ‘Chip The Kids’, ending with a cover of ‘Galvanize’ by The Chemical
Brothers.
The Welsh event also saw early sets from electro pop singer Florrie and Rodney Brannigan, back for his third Beach Break, who opened
his set by playing two guitars at once.
The Chapman Family opened the stage with a strong set,
with singer Kingsley admitting he wasn't "cut out for camping", as the band ran through tracks from debut
album ‘Burn Your Town’.
Newton Faulkner
is set to play the main stage next, followed by Katy B, before a headlining show from Magnetic Man and a Mark Ronson DJ set Beach Break Live for another year.
