Black Veil Brides: 'It takes us an hour to put on our makeup!'

Band will play Sunday at Download Festival 2011

The group who are set for their first UK headlining tour in October will play the Second Stage this Sunday (12 June).

"We started this band with the intention of being the best band in the world, and if we crash and burn, so be it," they admitted at a press conference.

"It's rock and roll, not rocket science. We wear makeup, we wear leather, we play rock and roll,” they continued, adding: “It takes us an hour to put on our makeup.”

Download Festival 2011 kicked off at Doninton Park, Castle Donington today (Friday 10 June) and will feature shows from Def Leppard, The Darkness, Alter Bridge and more.
