Joined onstage by a live drummer, whose kit was mounted to an orbicular steel frame, Saul 'Chase' Milton
and Will 'Status' Kennard rinsed out an hour-long set of breakthrough hits and oldies, including Plan
B collaboration 'Pieces', dubstep sequelcher 'Eastern Jam' and 'Time'.
Like
true flamboyant rock stars, they had their own rig, lighting and visuals hauled in, which altogether dwarfed and outshone
everyone else who had graced the stage on Saturday. The London duo mixed behind a huge steely 'C' and 'S'
respectively, while psychedelic videos swirled to the music's energising pulse.
The Chase and Status crew turned up at midnight on Friday, keeping the
festival crew on their toes into the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Streets are due to headline the second and final day of We The People 2011 which has already featured Annie Mac and Example.
