The highlight of the early evening acts was undoubtedly a hyperactive set by Marques Toliver at St. Stephen's Church, with the singer/violinist electing to perform in the aisles
without a microphone.
He even segued a cover of TLC's ‘No Scrubs’ into his final song, ‘Anniversary’.
Elsewhere, Communion's To Kill A King battled back from several calamities including a broken bass amp and several
broken strings to win over the Shepherds Bar crowd, before staying around to watch an excellent performance by Lucy Rose.
Flashguns,
who play shortly at The Goldhawk, were also present.
Blues-rockers Kill It Kid showcased
some frenetic new material from their forthcoming album at a sweaty Ginglik.
Other acts set to play before
Fyfe Dangerfield and Co. include Fink, Goldheart Assembly and Glastonbury Emerging Talent winners Treetop Flyers.

review.
