Benjamin Francis Leftwich hushes The Anson Rooms
Young folkie is well received at Bristol's Dot to Dot Festival

Ben Rust - 28 May 2011
With two well received EPs to his name the young troubadour proved his song-writing prowess in a less than busy, but appreciative,
Anson Rooms. Dispatching with single 'Pictures' early in his set the man from York held the crowd in hushed reverence
throughout his half hour slot.
Benjamin praised the Bristol crowd, saying it "was nice to be back" after
his show at Thekla a couple of weeks ago.
New song 'Goldmine' was met with universal approval from the ever-growing
crowd.
Having worked with Mumford and Sons producer Ian Grimble the lo-fi folk
of Mr Leftwich seems set to be omniscient this summer.
Jude from Bath was smitten with Benjamin
saying, "He was magical, there was an amazing atmosphere. I'm struggling to find words."
Dot to
Dot Bristol continues this evening (28 May) with performances from Hurts
and We Are Scientists still to come.
