Doherty may be out for Reading and Leeds
Libertines man likely to miss Oxegen, T In The Park though
Chris Eustace - 23 May 2011
The Libertines frontman was jailed for six months for cocaine possession on Friday (20 May).
But the official court report of his sentencing gives him a probable release date of 21 August, giving him five days' rehearsal time before he's slated to headline the Festival Republic stage at Leeds (Friday 26 August), before gracing the Reading equivalent two days later (Sunday 28 August).
Reading And Leeds organisers Festival Republic have given no indication as to how they're handling the situation, save for tweeting on Friday that "As soon as we have any news on Pete's performances at Reading and Leeds, we'll let you all know."
It's likely that the length of his sentence will force him to cancel his scheduled appearances at Oxegen and T In The Park.
Reading And Leeds 2011 take place at the twin sites of Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds on August 26 -28.
