Babyshambles man sentenced to six months in prison

Peter Doherty is likely to miss scheduled festival shows at Reading and Leeds 2011 and Oxegen 2011 after being sentenced to six months in prison.

The Babyshambles frontman man was due to play solo sets at all three of the events, but was today (Friday) sent to jail at Snaresbrook Crown Court for cocaine possession.

He was arrested in January 2010 over the death of filmaker Robyn Whitehead, who died of a suspected overdose.
