The best 20 artists will perform on the RockNess Sound City Stage across the weekend, with the overall
winner being decided after the festival, who will then win a support slot on a UK tour and return to RockNess
in 2012.
Bands and artists can submit their entry on Sonic Bids, from which the 20 finalists
will be selected, with a public vote then open from 6-15 June, which, along with the judge's verdicts, will
decide the winner. See the RockNess site for more information and
to enter.
Meanwhile aspiring DJs should upload their biggest club mix to letsmix, where a public
vote will close on 26 May. Six semi-finalists will then do battle at Sub Club on
4 June, with the winner chosen on the night by a combination of judging panel and crowd reaction, who will then get
to play a set at the festival. Again, full details regarding entry can be found on the RockNess
website.
RockNess 2011 takes place at Dores, Loch Ness, Scotland
on 10 - 12 June, with Weekend tickets available now, priced at £149.
Day passes are priced at £59 for Friday, and £64 for
Saturday and Sunday tickets.
Kasabian, The Chemical Brothers
and Paolo Nutini will headline this year's event, with
Magnetic Man, DJ Shadow, Bombay Bicycle Club and Glasvegas
among the other artists set to play.
