Foo Fighters cover Queen at Big Weekend 2011
Dave Grohl and Co round off day one of event

Anne-Marie Douglas - 15 May 2011
The band played to a capacity tent roaring through hits like 'Avalon', 'Pretender', 'Monkey Wrench', 'White Limo' and
'Best Of You'.
Grohl admitted that it was difficult to pin down a set list because they have “a hundred
songs” but gave each band member a chance to shine with drummer Taylor Hawkins taking vocal duties
at one point.
The group weren’t done there though, as they closed with a cover of Queen's 'Tie Your Mother
Down'.
Radio 1’s One Big Weekend 2011 continues today with sets from Lady GaGa and The Strokes.
