Opening with 'Lovesick', the band went on to play a selection of tracks from forthcoming second album 'Pala'.
The first of which 'Blue Cassette' had the making of a classic track.
Backlit by 80s retro disco lights,
the band led rousing choruses for old favourites 'Skeleton Boy' and 'On Board'.
Current single
'Live These Days Tonight' was an unapologetic dance anthem that turned the Brighton Dome into a
fiesta style party, but 'Jump In The Pool' was the clincher, lifting even those seated in balconies to their feet.
An encore consisting of 'Hawaiian Air' and 'Kiss Of Life' kept the joyous party alive as the band
rounded rounded off a hour-long set up.
The
Great Escape 2011 is part of a three date 'tour' for the band who play Glastonbury Festival 2011
next month, then Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
