Ghostpoet gets electric at Great Escape 2011

Chris Swindells - 13 May 2011

Hundreds queued outside as the rapper, championed by Mike Skinner, played a show of tracks from his debut LP 'Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam'.

The London-based rapper declared, "I love playing in Brighton," before excusing his late start and heading straight into his compact set.

A beat-heavy version of current single 'Survive It' got the biggest cheer of the show.

With live guitar and drums to accompany him, the star played a jazz version of 'Us Against Whatever' that got the crowd dancing on their feet.

Digital will welcome Oh Land and Little Dragon tonight as part of The Great Escape 2011.
