Attila the Stockbroker under doctor orders at Bearded Theory
As The Skints battle with the rain at Derbyshire event

Buoyed up by antibiotics, but bowed down by the subsequent lack of ale, his afternoon set at Bearded Theory 2011 was rammed to capacity. And it wasn’t just thanks to the
rain outside.
"The doctor told me to cut down on the beer," grimaced the punk poet. "But I think I'm
just down with this thing they call middle-age."
Whilst The
Skints soldiered valiantly on in the persistent drizzle on the main stage, Attila rattled through his poetic
prose back-catalogue of vitriolic verse.
‘The Duck's Nuts’ saga always raises a smile, whilst his
political polemic draws cheers at every swipe at the vagaries of the major parties.
However, it's a brave performer
who rounds off his set with a highly personal and extremely long homage to his mother's six-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Attila proved that brave soul and you don't get to tour the world year after year without the talent to keep people coming
back for more.
