Dry The River kick off The Great Escape 2011
Band carry the folk favour to AboveAudio
Chris Swindells - 12 May 2011
Welcoming the first few acts to the Brighton bash, the group hit the hard and soft notes at the seaside venue, just metres
from Brighton Pier.
It was a three pronged vocal assault, featuring rhythm guitarist Matt Taylor dressed in a t-shirt of NY hardcore heroes The Bronx.
“Its fun to play a show for breakfast,” bassist Scott Miller joked before breaking into debut single ‘New Ceremony’.
The band are set to release their debut album later this year.
Check out more from them on their VF One's To Watch page here.
The band play again The Prince Albert at 10.15pm tonight (Thursday).
Check back for more news stories from The Great Escape 2011 which will feature shows from DJ Shadow, Friendly Fires and more.
