Morrissey Shows His Hand

Morrissey Shows His Hand

27 April 2004

Morrissey has confirmed the line up for this year's Meltdown Festival at London's Southbank taking place from 11-27 June.

As previously announced the former Smiths frontman will play three shows, while other potential highlights are the reunion of The New York Dolls, Nancy Sinatra, Jane Birkin and The Slit's singer Ari Up.

The NYD reunion should be no surprise for those who remember Morrissey as the president of the Dolls' fan club in pre-Smiths days, when Mr M. was the bane of the NME's Letter's Page!

Morrissey's dates will have support from The Libertines, The Ordinary Boys, Cockney Rejects and Linder, although which bands play which nights has not been confirmed yet.
