The independent event outbid 56 other eBay users to win a rare signed copy of Fleet Foxes' new album 'Helplessness Blues', with all proceeds going to charity.
Organisers of the festival, which takes place from 19-21 August within the grounds of Glanusk Park
in South Wales, snapped up the test pressing of the double LP for $3,350, equivalent to
donating £2,082.56 to the emergency fund.
To raise more money, the Welsh event is now
auctioning the signed LPs with the test pressing of the group's self-titled debut album and a handwritten note from lead singer
Robin Pecknold, with all proceeds going to the relief effort.
Describing the original auction,
the singer said: “Here we are auctioning off a test pressing of our new album Helplessness Blues. These things are
quite rare and the record isn't even out yet, so it seemed like the most valuable album we had that we could auction off.”
