Daniel Johnston confirmed for Wilderness 2011

Inaugural event to feature only 2011 UK show from American singer-songwriter.

50-year-old folk singer-songwriter, Daniel Johnston has been confirmed for the very first Wilderness Festival, which will be his only UK appearance of 2011.

The singer will join for a 'once-in-a-lifetime' collaboration with American indie-folk band, The Low Anthem, who together will play 'The songs of Daniel Johnston' through a guest-studded set at Wilderness 2011.

Dry the River, Ian Goldin and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble have also been announced for the Wilderness 2011 line up. The Low Anthem will also perform their own set during the three day festival, alongside their collaboration with Daniel Johnston. Headliner Antony and The Johnsons has been announced as 'artist in residence' as he performs a collaboration with Heritage Orchestra and introduces a screening of Chiaki Nagano's film, ‘Mr O’s Book of the Dead’.

Wilderness 2011 takes place from 12-14th August 2011 at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire

Early bird Wilderness weekend tickets are currently available at £109.45 plus booking fee. Young person (11-17) weekend tickets are available at £54.45 and a family ticket (two adults, two juniors) are available at £250.
