Just Jack @ Glastonbury 2007

Virtual Festivals: You've just come off stage, how did it go?
Jack: I really enjoyed it, it
was the first proper acoustic set we've done. I was a bit concerned before but I felt really comfortable, the fact that
the songs are very lyrical makes it quite nice to have it broken down so everyone can hear what's being said. It was really
mellow and relaxed, there's not that much stuff here that is that mellow. Everyone is moving towards playing as fast as
they can, so it's quite nice to just chill.
VF: So is this your first Glastonbury?
Jack:
No, it's my second – I was here in 2003.
VF: Did you get rained on?
Jack: No, 90 degree
Fahrenheit heat. Everyone was getting sunburnt, it was really nice.
VF: Do you want an Iced Gem?
Jack: I haven't seen those for fucking years!
VF: Help yourself.
Jack: Anyway, 2003, I came
here to play in the Dance Tent which was my third gig ever.
VF: That's pretty good for your third ever gig.
Jack: Yeah, I think a few people in the industry were aware of the record and the press was really good. We did
Reading, Leeds, V, Glastonbury and so on.
VF: How did Reading and Leeds go? They're pretty heavy festivals.
Jack: Yeah but it went well, we were just doing everything we could then. I was hoping I could bring some good
luck and some sunshine this year but it didn't happen.
