Virtual Festivals: How are you enjoying your day at Glastonbury?
Mark Owen: Its good, we’ve
been here for two days. Struggling a bit today
VF: What time did you get in this morning?
MO:
About 5ish
VF: Whats the best thing you’ve seen so far?
MO: We’ve only managed to
see a few bands really. We saw Arctic Monkeys yesterday, they were amazing, Amy Winehouse, Klaxons, Babyshambles and looking
forward to seeing The Killers. We’re gonna try and blag our way on stage.
VF: Are there any more
Take That lads around
here?
MO: Nope, not that I know of. Though you never know round here, do you? They could all be here.
They could be covered in mud, wandering around and we’d never know.
VF: Is it one of your big regrets
that you’ve never played here?
MO: I dunno. Actually, yeah, I think it is. I almost had a chance a couple
of years ago to play the acoustic stage myself, when I was solo, but I was in Germany on tour and couldn’t get back
in time. Hopefully in the future.
VF: What are your thoughts on Glastonbury?
MO: I’ve been
here before when it’s not such a mudbath, and it’s quite a different experience now that its muddy.
VF:
How do you think it compares, a muddy year to a sunny year?
MO: I think it’s good for the ol’
legs – a bit of fitness by wading through the mud. I do like the people who dance around naked in the mud. That’s
nice.
