Glastonbury Best & Worst 1
Best Munster / Best Car:
The Eighties
Matchbox B-line Disaster grab our first two awards - the best impersonation of The Munsters' Cousin It...trying to get a photo
of anything more than an unruly barnet was nigh on impossible! And, of course, for the best (but most unreliable car) on site.
Having spent
most of the day coveting this fine piece of equipment (so much more practical than the Super Furry Animal's old tank don't
you think?), it was with mild amusement that we learnt that as the eighties crew tried to leave Somerset they were spotted
at a local garage, being attended to by a bemused AA mechanic.[
Biggest Star of Glastonbury 2003:
Despite Mssrs
Yorke and Stipe spending some quality time on site (we even spotted them driving off together one afternoon - presumably for
a steak and cider down at the Apple Tree?) it still has to be said that for sheer literal truth, the biggest and brightest
star of the festival was this one - did you use it as a meeting point too?
Worst rain damage:
The award
for worst rain casualty goes to the previously proud and erect Rhino who was brought to his knees by the Friday downpour.
