Rock Up and Play at Download

United Kingdom United Kingdom | 05 June 2007

It takes years of hard work, dedication and practise to play a festival.  Long trips on the road during a tour, critics quashing your latest work and very little time spent with your family/partner/dog.  But who has the patience for all that?  Pack your bags, feed Rex and clear your lungs because you could be performing at Download

Nokia’s Rock Up And Play tent is allowing you to be part of the bill this year.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve only performed in front of the mirror, delivered a ditty to your daughter or you’re coming out of rock retirement - anyone can play.

You can front a band of professional musicians, showing more swagger then Jagger and more mouth then Manson.  Or you can pick up an instrument and start to solo like Slash, riff like Reel Big Fish or drum like Dragonforce.  Whatever you want to do – the stage is yours.

Once your debut at Download is over, you can take part in exclusive Q & A sessions with some of the acts who’ve appeared on the same bill as you.  Already confirmed are Bowling For Soup, Aiden, Zico Chain and The Hedrons, with more to be announced.

Don’t worry if you can’t sing or play an instrument because the tent is also running an air guitar competition, giving you the chance to showcase your showmanship skills and perform for some prizes.  Or the tent allows you to just Rock Up and Chill, as the Nokia DJs will take all that weight of performing from your shoulders.

And just so your performance doesn't clash with your favourite band, you can download your FREE* Download mobile festival guide.  It will give you maps, festival infomation and your own personal schedule so you don't miss a thing.  Its like your own personal assistant - well you are a star now...

Nokia's Rock Up And Play will be open all weekend - white and big and very loud! We'll see you there.

*FREE to download, standard network charges may apply.
