The Road To V gates have been thrown open for 2007, giving YOU the chance to open V Festival.
Virgin Mobile is offering two outstanding live bands the chance to play at both legs of the August weekender, lining up alongside the likes of The Killers, Snow Patrol and Foo Fighters.
Visit the official Road To V site HERE to find out more!
Acts of any size, scope and musical persuasion are encouraged to sign up and wow online fans over the coming months, before a selected panel of music industry experts cuts the pack down to 14 finalists.
Those 14 bands will then be invited to perform in front of fans and experts at gigs in Liverpool and London.
What's more, the shows will be broadcast on Channel 4 as part of a 'Road To V' series throughout the summer, before two eventual winners are selected to open V Festival.
Bands just need to upload their own profile, including a band biography, photo and MP3, HERE.
As part of your profile, you'll be given access to a blog space to update regularly, as well as a platform to generate new fans alongside loads of other cool bands. You could also be featured as one of the site's 'Band Of The Week'.
VF
also recommends the site as a great way for music fans to track down great new music. Bands such as The Young Knives,
The Holloways, Bombay Bicycle Club, Keith and The Immediate
have all cut their teeth on the competition.
