Bombay Bicycle Club Win 'Road To V'!

United Kingdom United Kingdom | | 13 August 2006

They narrowly beat The Holloways and Sunny Days Set Fire to the title, which rising stars The Young Knives won last year.

Bombay Bicyle Club will now open the Main Stage at the Chelmsford leg of this weekend's V Festival, while Keith will open the Channel 4 Stage.

The two bands will then travel up to the Staffs site, Weston Park, where they will open proceedings on Sunday.

News of the winners was announced on Channel 4 last night (Wednesday, 16 August).

It crowned a cracking competition in which more than 4,000 entries were originally submitted, all vying to play at V Festival.

Online buzz on the Road To V message boards, combined with the final word by a panel of judges, helped whittle the thousands down to 14, who then played a series of gigs televised on Channel 4.

Stay posted to VF for all the lowdown on the winners, Bombay Bicycle Club and Keith, as they take on the mighty V Festival.
