The Young Knives For Pre-V Gigs

The Young Knives, who shot to fame after winning last year's Road To V competition, are set to play two special gigs at the beginning of August to gear up for this year's V Festival - and they'll be joined by two more bands...

The Young Knives will be joined by The Crimea and Lorraine at shows in Newcastle and Bristol at the beginning of August to herald the arrival of this year’s double festival in Essex and Staffordshire.

Tickets are available for Virgin Mobile customers by texting the name of your preferred venue to 26666, while the rest of us will have to go through the usual outlets.

One gig-goer from each venues will also win tickets to the festival, which features Radiohead, Morrissey, Faithless, Bloc Party, Fatboy Slim, Beck and many more.

The gig dates are:

Newcastle, Carling Academy 2 – 1 August
Bristol, Carling Academy 2 - 2 August
