V Festival Unveils Fourth Stage

The artists playing in the Virgin Mobile Social are: The Cooper Temple Clause, Sandi Thom, The Dears, Mew, My Morning Jacket, The Concretes, Regina Spektor, BellX1, Jamie T, Crimera, Art Brut, Ocean Size, Captain, The Young Knifes, Liam Frost & The Slowdown Family, Jim Noir, The Upper Room, Lorraine, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Butch Walker, Seth Lakeman, The Grate, Director, Milk Teeth, and Love Bites.
Once the bands are finished the arena will turn into an indie disco with DJs spinning until late. Virgin Mobile customers will have the chance to get backstage and hang out with the stars via a special text competition.
V Festival Director, Bob Angus said: “After two
successful years of hosting live music on our fourth stage, we have a proven track record of bands progressing to the main
stages and we are honoured to have helped some of them in the early stages of their careers. We’re really pleased that
Virgin Mobile are on board with us, extending their long term headline status”
Other acts already confirmed
to play V Festival include headliners Radiohead, Morrissey and Faithless,
plus Bloc Party, Keane, Kasabian, Razorlight, Beck
and many more.
Weekend camping tickets are still available for the southern leg of the festival and are available to buy here.
V Festival 2006 takes place consecutively at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, and at Weston Park, Staffordshire.
