Known as the 'Wierd West Big Top' for its final festival foray of the year, The Strongbow Rooms at Bestival boasts perhaps its strongest live lineup of the summer, and even goes a bit indie...

On Friday The Strongbow Rooms is hosted by indie-beat clashers Adventures In The Beetroot Field, featuring some of the most innovative guitar bands currently storming the UK and far beyond.

Despite the cancellation of current darlings The Rakes due to illness, live performances from Clor, The White Rose Movement, British Sea Power, and The Longcut is bound to more than make up for it.

Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco and The Filthy Dukes will be on DJ duties, bringing some gritty alternative sounds to Bestival, and Chris Coco will be putting on a special visual show.

Saturday sees more quirky live acts in the shape of the soulful Hot Chip, French techno wizard Vitalic, frenetic electro punks Caged Baby, and the salubrious Kish Mauve. But the highlight of the day is bound to be the headlining 6-hour Balearic DJ set by X-Press 2, or possibly Grooverider & Fabio playing just beforehand.

Sunday sees the UK debut for the subtly beautiful Sebastien Tellier, who's on the verge of becoming massive here in the UK. There will also be live sets from Puppetmastaz and Pnu Ruff, with the Black Dog Punk Rock Sound System providing a heavy finale to the festival.
