Madeon confirmed as first headline act for Freeze Festival 2013

Hugo Pierre Leclercq better known by his stage name Madeon, has been announced as the first act for this years Freeze Festival. The French DJ hailing from Nantes gained international attention when his video 'Pop Culture' recieved over six million views in just a couple a days on youtube. Prior to that he had also won a remix competition for 'The Island' by Pendulum. Leclercq has been composing music since he was eleven years old, now only nineteen he has achieved a lot already with an even brighter future ahead.

Relentless Energy Drink Freeze Festival 2013 will see the festival move from it's previous home at Battersea Power Station (soon to be demolished) to the greener grounds of Clapham Common

The festival will take place from 27th Nov - 1st Dec and features live music on the Saturday. The rest of the week will play host to a wide array of winter activities such as a resort style retail park with brands showcasing their latest stock for the season ahead, authentic alpine food stalls, the best in ski and snowboard cinema and parties aplenty taking place in apres ski bars.  

This year the bulk of the snowboarding and skiing competition will take place on the Saturday. Not least of which is the 'Hail The Rail' feature where the world’s best international skiers and snowboarders will be jetting in to battle for the £14,000 prize purse. Talent announced for the jam already includes Norway's Bendik Øye, Øystein Bråten and Sig Tveit, Julian Ball from the UK and Swede Kim Boberg who will all be representing the skiing side of the competition.

Snowboarding talent comes in the form of Len Jørgensen from Norway, Toni Kerkelä and Antti Jussila from Finland, Ludwig Lejkner from Sweden, Austrian Marc Swoboda, Kas Lemmens from the Netherlands, Yale Cousino from the USA and the UK's own Jamie Nicholls.

Tickets for the 5 day event are on sale now. A season pass allowing entry on all five days is currently only £64 (including booking fees). Day tickets are availble also with Saturday being the main draw and valued at £40 (including booking fees).
