Jessie J - Wireless 2012 review

'She's keen to make sure everyone has a good time'

Jessie J - Wireless 2012 review

Rhian Daly - 08 July 2012

"I remember being here five years ago for Jay-Z and thinking I'd be up here on day," says Jessie J in disbelief. "Now I'm here supporting Rihanna. It's crazy!"

Following a whirlwind year after the release of her debut album, 'Who You Are', the Essex-born singer has shot straight to the top and her performance tonight shows why. Opening with breakthrough single 'Do It Like A Dude', she's the perfect warm up for tonight's headliner - fun, down to earth and keen to make sure everyone has a good time.

Her set is laden with all the obvious hits and a couple of surprises to boot. Midway through, Jessie plays us her own version of Usher's 'Climax', showing off her impressive voice. It's such a natural fit it sounds like one of her own tracks.

One lucky fan is invited on stage to join Jessie for 'Price Tag', an infectious look of glee spread across the chosen one's face, and then it's time for one last dance with the huge 'Domino'. With performances like this, surely it won't be long until Jessie is topping the bill herself.
