Five to watch and a Spotify playlist to get you in the mood

As far as festival line-ups go, Oxegen Festival has outdone itself this year with giant names such as
Foo Fighters, Coldplay and The
Black Eyed Peas headlining and plenty more besides.
Fans have been left spoilt for choice, but here
are five live acts that you don’t want to miss over the weekend:
Weezer
Rivers and the gang are back on the live music scene to remind us of how cool nerds really are. Weezer, being a band
that refuses to approach their music too seriously, really know how to put a smile on an audiences face with songs like this
one.
Foo Fighters
After the mammoth success
of Foo Fighter’s release of ‘Wasting Light’, nobody can deny that Dave and Co are part of the biggest
rock band on the face of the planet at the moment. These five men put their experience and energy into creating a kick-ass
show that you’d be a fool to miss.
Beyonce
Can you really get much bigger than
Beyonce? With a whopping total of sixteen grammys to her name as well as a back catalogue of various awards, the singer has
marked her place amongst pop royalty. Make sure you have your dancing shoes for this one, because you know you won’t
be able to help yourself!
The Strokes
Last year the rain wouldn’t leave Oxegen alone, however, The Strokes
are a band, which will inject sunshine into your life regardless of whether the black clouds rear their ugly heads. With a
back catalogue spreading over thirteen years expect some classic hits to be played.
Friendly Fires
Putting the ‘fun’ into ‘funky’ is one of the
biggest British bands steamrolling their way to becoming a true contender for festival headline slots and large arenas in
the near future. Get in there early for a truly energetic and passionate spectacle.
