Queens Of The Stone Age
Armed with
a set-list handpicked by fans, this should be a real treat and what could be one of the greatest-ever festival shows by Josh
Homme and Co. Expect a few rare numbers selected by fan boys as well as classics like this.
Primal Scream
Headlines
write themselves whenever Primal
Scream play Glastonbury, but they should be putting their dry wit and Nazi salutes aside when they play their magnum
opus, ‘Screamadelica’, in full.
Mumford & Sons
Just one album down and Mumford & Sons already have a devout following
that could put the Pied Piper to shame. This group could be pushing headline territory by the time Glasto comes back in 2013,
so see them over the weekend in what will probably be a small affair.
Bombay Bicycle Club
When the indie
landfill truck emptied its crap upon the likes of Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong and Pigeon Detectives, these indie youngsters
showed they had much more in their cannon than a couple of guitars and some skinny jeans. With the chance to debut new material,
catch these lot in their prime.
Bright Eyes
We were there for the awkward moment
when Conor Oberst said: “who the fuck is John Peel anyway?” in the John Peel Tent in 2005 and we caught him shun
his best hits two years later on the Other Stage. Now it’s his final farewell, he’s shutting shop on the Bright Eyes moniker, so go shed a tear on the Friday.
