Famed for the delicious mint cake, Kendal now has found its other calling - holding its very own festival. The three-day indie-dance event is set in the picturesque Lake District.

The festival manages to bring in some big names, yet refrains from losing its intimacy by having its capacity at just 4,000. Festival-goers have enjoyed the likes of British Sea Power and Dizzee Rascal in the past, so expect more of the same this time around.

New additions for this year's event includes a folk and roots tent, comedy and cabaret. The chill out area and acoustic stage will return too, plus the beer tent and food stalls will be selling more than just mint cake!
