About Kendal Calling 2008
Famed for the delicious mint cake, Kendal now has found its other calling - holding its very own festival. The indie-dance
event, set in the picturesque Lake District, has added an extra day for 2008.
The festival manages to bring in some
big names, yet refrains from losing its intimacy by having its capacity at just 4,000. So revellers can enjoy the likes of
British Sea Power and Dizzee Rascal without getting squashed by hundreds of thousands of fans.
New additions for this
year's event includes a folk and roots tent, comedy and cabaret. The chill out area and acoustic stage will return too, plus
the beer tent and food stalls will be selling more than just mint cake!
