Virtual Festivals.com is the world’s number one resource for music festivals. More than three million unique readers per year (and over 90,000 email subscribers) enjoy live breaking news delivered straight to their desktops as well as the web's most comprehensive festival reviews, event listings, information, artist interviews, backstage gossip and so much more.
The site boasts the world’s biggest and best free live music photo gallery and interactive festival community. You can purchase everything you could possibly want to maximise your festival enjoyment; including tickets, tents, travel, t-shirts, ringtones and exclusive souvenir photos (as prints or downloaded to your mobile handset).
Virtual Festivals.com was originally created back in 1999 by 23 year-old festival fanatic Steve Jenner, and run from his bedroom. With no external financial investment, the site's combination of practical functionality, creative innovation and refreshingly off-beat style saw it grow rapidly to become a premier league music website, with Central London offices and a team of full-time editorial and sales staff.
Virtual Festivals.com owes its success simply to delivering the highest quality content possible, with obsessive enthusiasm. The site now employs a team of over 100 writers and photographers during peak summer months to cover the many music festival events around the globe. Although the scale of the operation has grown beyond recognition since his bedroom days, Steve's grass roots enthusiasm and fiercely independent spirit burns brighter than ever. "People are drawn to our site because it is so clearly run by people who live, drink, eat breathe and smoke music festivals.", he says, "This kind of passion cannot be contrived by any marketing budget."
In 2004, Virtual Festivals launched the UK Festival Awards - the world's first awards to recognise the contributions of festival organisers and artists to the live music industry, decided by the public. 30,000 festival fans cast their votes for the awards in 2005, which were sponsored by Carling Live and BBC 6 Music.
Virtual Festivals has itself won industry acclaim in recent years, including nominations for 'Best Digital Community' and 'Best Innovation' at the 2005 BT Digital Music Awards.

Our favourite festival site is Virtual Festivals. No frail journos these boys, they're likely to be seen having it with the crowd in the moshpits while the rest of us look on from the safety of VIP. This energy and enthusiasm is reflected in their website."
