About Hultsfred Festival 2009

One of Scandinavia's major cultural institutions, Hultsfred is a long established festival renowned for breaking new artists from both Sweden and further afar to the European masses.

The festival was Oasis' first ever concert outside the UK back in the day and with 120 artists spread over 5 stages this year's event looks set to put on a variety of acts of the same calibre.

Organisers have a wonderfully varied musical palate mixing up the genres and the legends with Rage Against The Machine, Rufus Wainwright and home-grown heroes The Hives playing last year.

The small town of Hultsfred, on the shores of lake Hunlingen, southern Sweden welcomes 30,000 revellers daily during the festival weekend whilst camping is available from the start of the week.

The nearest international airport is Skavsta Airport with rail links to Hultsfred itself. Copenhagen and Stockholm international airports also provide European music fans with further continental travel links to the festival.
