Hard Rock Calling 2009 Information
About Hard Rock Calling 2009
Hard Rock Calling will take over London's regal Hyde Park for three-days this year bringing a splatter of dad rock, classic
acts and some surprising guests.
Now onto its forth outing, the festival has housed the likes of The Police, Eric Clapton and Aerosmith on the main stage in the past, with another two stages saved for some less expected acts like Buena Vista Social Club or Gareth Gates.
The event is non-camping and music finishes around 10.30pm, which allows revellers to catch the last train home and get a decent sleep in a bed. Food ranges from fish and chips to tofu burgers, but you'll still have to drink lager from cardboard cups.
AGreenerFestival say this about the festival: The excellent public transport solutions in London are already there to minimise audience travel carbon footprints. The waste cooking oil from site is refined off site to be used as sustainable biodiesel. As audience travel forms a large proportion of greenhouse gas emissions from out of town festivals, city based festivals which utilise public transport have a distinct advantage in being sustainable - and Live Nation's 02 and Hard Rock Calling are in the heart of London.
