Glastonbury Festival 2008 Reviews
Another year, another 500 festivals, another chance to throw their creators into the moshpit of the UK Festival Awards and show them a good time.
Known as the New Band Stage until it was renamed in 2005 in memory of John Peel, this stage is dedicated to the memory of the late, great radio DJ and champion of new music.
Courting the young the old, the controversial and the classic, we put in the legwork from Pyramid to Other Stage to bring you all the best bands from the centre of the site.
Last year's rain at Glastonbury meant there was far more talk about submerging acts rather than the emerging ones, so this time around we grab our wellies, snorkel and periscope to search for the new bands making it onto our radar.
It was the most talked about Glastonbury Festival in years, but did it live up to the hype?
At any other festival the sight of a horde of Vikings in a Long Boat storming into the crowd whilst brandishing swords would be quite extraordinary. But this is Glastonbury.
