Quite simply the biggest, best, and most famous festival in the world, Glastonbury resonates a spirit and character no other event has ever managed to capture - and many have tried!

Back for 2007 following a year off in 2006, organisers are promising very special things and have hinted at veering away from the traditional 'Top Of The Pops' style headliners (as festival founder Michael Eavis himself put it.)

That said the festival will still feature many of the biggest bands, artists and DJs in the world, playing across loads of stages and arenas, including the Pyramid Stage, Other Stage, Jazz World, Dance Village, Left Field, Avalon, and the Acoustic Stage.

But there's so much more than bands at Glasto. The site spreads back from the inside core of stages to give way to the famous Green Fields, the infamous Stone Circle and various other hives of collective energy. Artists, street performers, theatre groups and workshops provide jaw-dropping spectacles, artistic projects, and interactive experiences.

The festival is also heavily commited to charity and green issues with recycling encouraged, an emphasis on renewable energy sources and the highlighting of world issues.
