About FM4 Frequency Festival 2009
FM4 Frequency Festival started life in 2001 after organisers gathered 12 acts together, playing over two days, in a small
venue in Vienna. Eight years down the line they will return to the Salzburgring motorcycle track to put on more than 90 hip-hop,
rock and electronic artists over five stages.
In excess of 40,000 revellers are expected to flock to the venue just
outside the Austrian city of Salzburg from the 20 - 22 August 2009 to enjoy a line-up which last year included REM, The Killers,
Justice, Pendulum and The Charlatans.
The heavyweight artists on show will be complemented by a host of breakthrough
acts from 12 of Austria's surrounding countries, who will compete throughout the year to earn themselves a place on the Applause
Open Stage.
Camping is available throughout the festival and punters can expect a wealth of other activities to further
arouse their senses. These will undoubtedly include the chill-out tent, with its hammocks, and a bungee jump, in case the
festival thrill is just not quite enough.
