Having announced their split this week, Glasgow based four-piece Aereogramme have chosen the first ever Connect to be their last ever show.
Other new additions include Super Furry Animals, who will headline the Guitars And Other Machines Stage on Friday night. Liverpool’s legendary Echo and the Bunnymen will play the same stage on the Saturday.
Scottish producer Craig Armstrong will take to the Oyster Stage on Sunday, adding to the plethora of Scottish talent on show. Another of those will be seminal post-punk band Fire Engines. Their inclusion on the Oyster Stage on Saturday means it's almost a fully Scottish affair - with Primal Scream, Mogwai, Teenage Fanclub, The Only Ones and 1990s also performing.
As part of the Highland 2007 celebrations, these newly announced acts add to Connect’s already impressive lineup which includes Beastie Boys, Bjork, Primal Scream, Jesus and Mary Chain, Jarvis Cocker, Modest Mouse and many more.
Connect promises to be a small (but beautifully formed) boutique festival, with organisers promising loads more than just music and real attention to detail. Set on the banks of a loch in the grounds of a castle - it's probably going to be prettier than a Saturday night out in Glasgow, which is just 90 minutes away.
Tickets are still available HERE priced £125 for the weekend or £50 per day.
