Brian Wilson for T In The Park

United Kingdom United Kingdom | 02 April 2007

The Californian crooner, whose set at Glastonbury 2005 proved one of the weekend's highlights, will perform at Balado on the Saturday night, following sets from Rufus Wainwright and Bright Eyes.

A festival spokesman said: "It is a huge coup for T In The Park to have secured Brian Wilson, world recognised as nothing short of a musical legend, and a massive influence to many of the acts that have played the event over its fourteen year history."

Another name from the past, debuting at T In The Park, will be reformed rockers The Skids who are set to play Saturday's Main Stage.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the four-piece are reuniting for an exclusive set at T on the back of renewed interest in the band, following U2 and Green Day's cover of their hit 'The Saints Are Coming'.

T In The Park takes place at Balado, Kinross, Perthshire, from 6-8 July.

The festival is completely sold out and organisers have urged disappointed fans not to buy from touts over internet auction sites.

Bands already confirmed include headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and Snow Patrol, plus Razorlight, Kings Of Leon, Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Interpol, The Kooks and many more.
