Sonic Youth to headline winter festival

Sonic Youth and The Stooges are the first names for this December's The Nightmare Before Christmas festival - and this year the All Tomorrow's Parties winter weekender has a new home...

The Nightmare Before Christmas 2006 takes place at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead, Somerset, from 8-10 December. The event has previously been held in Camber Sands.

Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore is curating the weekend's lineup, so expect lots of experimental indie, alt rock and underground sounds. More acts will be announced in the coming months.
