The Milk - Beach Break Live 2012 review
'An excellent opportunity for a mid-afternoon dance'

Essex soulboys The Milk return to Beach Break for a
second successive year, and once again provide an excellent opportunity for a mid-afternoon dance.
Close your
eyes at some points and it could be a Stax compilation playing, but this is no mere pastiche: with modern R&B another
clear influence, they play snatches of the likes of Jay Z & Kanye and Kelis
in between songs so it flows like a DJ set.
They don't skimp on the crowd interaction either, marshalling proceedings
through a perky 'Broke Up The Family' and new single 'Everytime We Fight'.
A summery 'Chip The Kids' hides its Orwelian subject matter with a breezy, catchy chorus, and things end on a slightly surreal note as the girls from the Coppa Feel cancer awareness tent join the band armed with some giant comedy breasts to dance around to their cover of The Chemical Brothers' 'Galvanize'. It'll surely be up on YouTube before the end of the weekend.
