Protest Records are spearheading the Cover For Kashmir campaign, which hopes to provide shelter for thousands of earthquake survivors in the devastated region.
Your donations really could save lives. Tents, blankets, and sleeping bags are all desperately needed to provide cover for the victims as winter takes its grip.
Despite media attention dropping off, some aid experts have described the relief effort in Kashmir and Northern Pakistan as even more challenging than the Asian tsunami.
A spokesman for Protest said: "Every year hundreds of thousands of us pitch our tents and enjoy the glorious British summer sludge of the festival fields, all under the understanding of the importance of some warm waterproof gear when you're braving the elements.
"This winter thousands of earthquake victims in Kashmir and North Pakistan will die unless either they reach shelter, or the shelter reaches them.
"At least three million people are still homeless and at the mercy of the weather, which is only yet to get worse."
Camping gear can either be dropped off or sent to Protest's East London address:
Studio 35, Truman Brewery
91 Brick Lane
London E1 6NQ, UK
Protest will also be driving to eight major UK cities to pick up donated gear at various universities, although there are no details as yet - stay posted.
If you don't have any camping gear, why not make a cash donation? You can give money online here or by calling the appeal line 0870 60 60 900. All money is donated to the disaster emergency effort with no charges.
