After a hugely successful 2004, The Strongbow Rooms will once again be popping up all over the festival landscape, unleashing its unique party vibe to music-mad festival fans across the UK. Kicking off at We Love...Homelands, The Strongbow Rooms will be a regular fixture at eight of 2005’s major festivals, including the Isle of Wight, V Festival and The Big Chill.
Some of Europe's most respected and cheese-free DJs, including Lionrock geezer Justin Robertson and Parisian club pioneer David Guetta, will be crafting upfront sets to get even the most festival-weary limbs moving again.
And following in the footsteps of last year's Strongbow Rooms sensation, Mylo, a number of eclectic live acts will be on hand to twiddle the knobs and twist the rules, including VF favourites Hot Chip and disco destroyers Medicine 8. The lineup for We...Love Homelands is as follows:
Rob da Bank
Kid Carpet (Live)
DJ Coolof (The Knife - DJ set)
The exciting range of acts, which will vary from festival to festival, has been carefully selected by Radio 1 DJ and Bestival boss Rob Da Bank, who will be extending his visionary touch throughout The Strongbow Rooms summer activity. Rob will also be taking to the decks himself, keeping the crowds on their toes by slamming down anything from Josh Winx to Queen!
The Strongbow Rooms will be at the following festivals during the 2005 summer, and VF will be on hand to bring you the best coverage from all of them.
• We Love...Homelands - 28 May
• Nokia Isle of Wight Festival – 10-12 June
